2025-07-15Whether you're a returning volunteer or stepping in for the first time, we’re excited to share that Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) has launched a new, streamlined Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) process—making it easier than ever to complete this important requirement

Why This Matters
The new centralized VSC process is a joint initiative between HEO, the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), and Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO). It reflects a shared commitment to:

- Ensuring all volunteers working with young participants are properly vetted and monitored
- Aligning with national sport safety standards
This modernized approach reduces administrative burden and ensures that background checks are conducted efficiently and consistently across all member organizations.
