Volunteers
Ottawa East, runs on volunteers and it can't happen with out you! No volunteers will mean no minor hockey for our kids - lets make this game a core memory for them.
Coaches - Head Coaches don't just run the hockey strategy for a team (drills, positions, practices game play) but drive the direction, team morale and all aspects of player deleveopment. The Assistant Coaches support the Head Coach on the ice, on the bench and in the dressing room.
Trainers - The safety of players is always paramount and Trainers take the lead for enforcing equipment rules and any on-ice injuries during games (along with parents and emergency professional of course). The Association provides for training and the necessary kits.
Managers - While coaches look after the hockey operations of a team, Managers usually take on the social, communications, adminstrative tasks for the team, focusing on parent interaction and enabling to coach to focus on the ice.
Association-wide roles - It doesn't just happen at the team level! before, during and after the season schedule there are a lot of roles that need to be filled to run a smooth organsation - and you can help.
What do I need to do?
Follow the links on this page to the roles that interest you, understand them, reach out to your team, division convenor or a board member to discus.
