Respect in Sport Parents Program

If you are here, it is because you are the parent of a U7 or U9 player or you are registering a child in hockey for the first time. That means you have to take the Respect in Sport Parent Program. Please read all the instructions before you start. If you have not received a code from your convenor, please send them an email. If you register and start without the code, you have to pay for the course. We cannot retroactively apply the code.

OEMHA convenor email addresses look like <division>_convenor@oemha.ca. If your child is U7 it is U7_convenor@oemha.ca; for U9 it is U9_convenor@oemha, and so on.

Instructions

1. Visit the Respect in Sport Parent Program at https://heoparent.respectgroupinc.com 
2. By default the system will load in English. Click the Vue en Français button to translate the page.
3. In the Getting Started area on the left of the screen, click the Register your Profile button
4. Select Let's Register a New User. Note: you may have registered for the coach program in the past. Do not use that account. You must register as a new user.
5. Create a username and password for yourself to enter in the appropriate fields. Respect Group recommends using an email as a username as this is generally unique to an individual and not easily forgotten. 
6. Complete all fields. Any fields identified with an asterix is a mandatory field and must be completed.
7. You will be asked to associate your children to your profile. This is very important and is required for proper recognition of program completion. You can also do this step later.
8. Once you have added all your children to the list or plan on adding them later, click Submit. 
9. You should be prompted to enter a Registration Code. Your convenor has the code and can provide it to you. It is case sensitive so must be entered exactly. The code must be entered at this time and cannot be added once registration is complete. If you do not have the code, STOP; email your convenor; return and complete your registeration when you have it. 
10. You will then be directed into the program. Click on your language button of choice to access the program content.
11. When you receive your certificate, you should save it for future reference.

Adding a New Child to your Account

If you are registering a child for the first time in U7 or U9, and you have already taken the Respect in Sport Parent Program, you will need to add the child to your profile.

1. Visit the Respect in Sport Parent Program at https://heoparent.respectgroupinc.com
2. Login with your user name and password. There is an option to recover it if you cannot remember it. If you have problems, please use the support tools at the Respect Group's website. We are not administering the program and we have no way to help you.
3. Click the Profile button near the top left of the page 
4. Click the Child Management button on the left of the page
5. Click the Add a Child to your Profile button and fill in the required details.
6. You have to locate "Ottawa East Minor Hockey Association" in Association filed. Click the plus sign and scroll down the list until you find us.
