Icebreakers: Southend/Ottawa East Tournament Champions!!!!
On Sunday March 18th, the Ottawa East IceBreakers capped a championship season with gold medal performance in the Southend / Ottawa East Tournament, Novice B2 division.
With offensive contributions by all forwards and many defence, the IceBreakers outscored their competition 20 - 5, went 5 - 0 - 0 for the tournament, and beat Almonte / Pakenham 3 - 2 in the final.
Complementing the offensive output was an equally stingy defence, that saw fierce play along the boards, unrelenting corner battles, and great goaltending. Following in the path forged during the season, it was again a great team effort.
