Icebreakers: playoff champions!!!!

On Sunday March 4th, the Ottawa East IceBreakers capped a superb playoff  run (5 - 0 - 1) with a 3 - 0 win over Canterbury 1 to capture the Novice B (II) Championship.

The Championships weekend started with a nail biting 2 - 1 win over West End 7 in the semi-final where the IceBreakers jumped ahead with two hard fought goals, and then closed the door defensively with several blocked shots, agressive corner battles, and lightning quick glove saves to hang on
for the win.

The final game saw the IceBreakers employ an offensive strategy with strong protection of the blueline, agressive puck pursuit and lots of shots,Ultimately rewarding the goalie with a shut-out, and the team with the cup...a true team effort in both games. Congratulations to the entire team!"
