OEMHA Team Managers Cheat Sheet
 
But what does a manager do??!! Generally, the manager will:
  • facilitate good communication between the coaching staff and parents
  • handle team finances
  • ensure that the team is aware of the schedule for practices, games and tournaments
  • take responsibility for completing the game sheet at games and enter home scores
  • make sure the team has a timekeeper and a scorekeeper for home games
  • submit tournament applications
  • make necessary travel arrangements for tournaments e.g. block book rooms in a hotel
  • negotiate with other teams for exhibition games
  • handle general team administrative matters
  • organize off ice activities like the team building events / game day experiences and the end of season party
