First Aid Equipment and Kits
OEMHA Trainers’ First Aid Kit |
The best kit is one which contains only the supplies that you use most often. There is no reason to carry a wide variety of items, if you do not know how to, or are not qualified to use such items. There are First Aid courses available for trainers looking to improve their First Aid skills. Contact the OEMHA Risk and Safety Director Stu Brodie at risk_and_safety@oemha.ca for details.
The OEMHA First Aid Kits contain the items listed below.
IMPORTANT REMINDER
You should carry a list of all emergency telephone numbers in your kit, including ambulance, fire department, police and general emergency.
You should carry one set of Medical Non-Latex Gloves in a Zip Loc bag in your pocket at all times before and during the game to give you instant access to the gloves and to one Zip Loc bag.

Whenever you use an item you should replace it immediately to ensure that your kit remains fully stocked. Please contact the OEMHA Risk and Safety Director at risk_and_safety@oemha.ca for your First Aid Kit during the season, or for help re-stocking.
