We will need a good number of Coaches and On-Ice Helpers for the upcoming “rust-off” and conditioning sessions. Everyone is encouraged to participate and no coaching certifications are required for this.

The plan for the first 2 “rust-offs” (Sept 4th and 5th) is to play 4 on 4 games. This will allow the players to get comfortable being back on the ice and allow them to have some fun. I think having 4 helpers on the ice to facilitate 2 half-ice games is sufficient. If you are available/interested in helping out on the ice please let me know. If you have any other idea’s as to how we can utilize the ice time also let me know.

The following 3 sessions will be used as conditioning sessions. Players will be put through a series of drills to help them prepare for team sort-outs. We will need 7-8 on-ice helpers.

If you are interested in Coaching once the season starts you must officially register with OEMHA.
All coaches including assistants and on-ice helpers are required to take certification for Coach 1 at the U9 level. OE reimburses the cost of these clinics.
