Novice Evaluations - Update for September 13-17th

Hi Everyone:
 
Thanks to all the on ice and off ice volunteers yesterday.  We have now completed the skills evaluation portion of the sort outs and will be moving on to scrimmages to determine the levels and teams.  Listed below are the groupings for next week   please keep in mind these are not final levels or teams. 
 
We have 60 players – which is a tricky number to have because it’s on the border of 5 teams but right now we are looking at four teams of 15 players.  It would be much better to have 5 teams of 13 players so if you know anyone interested in playing, there is still plenty of time to sign up.  There are also lots of programs to provide financial assistance to those who can’t afford the fees.   Contact me if you want more information on that.
 
There is power skating this Tuesday at 6PM at Bernard Grandmaitre arena.  Although it is not stated on the web site, this first session is for novice kids with the last name A to K.   The next session for L-Z names will be on September 23^rd.  These sessions are optional but if you need to swap nights, let me know.  There will be lots of ice time in the coming weeks. Here are the groupings for next week. You only need to be there for your assigned time unless I contact you directly about a change.  Please check in and get your pinney when you arrive and return it after the game.  Some of you have told me you can’t make it, please confirm that by email.  Also, if we are short players for one of the games, I will be looking for kids who want to play an extra hour this Saturday.  As well, if there is someone who wants to play goalie, please let me know (specifically looking for someone playing at 9AM who wants to be a goalie during the 8AM game in addition to playing at 9AM as a skater). 
 
After these scrimmages, we will reform the groups and start forming the actual teams.  At that point, let me know if you have car pooling or friend requests.
 
Again we need volunteers for each hour – this includes pinney distribution, bench coaches and on ice coaches/referees.  Please email your interest in that.
